South Australia Holidays

A holiday in South Australia is something that you will remember for the rest of your life. This is one place in Australia that should be included in every Australian holiday itinerary. The scenery throughout the state is so varied that there is always another surprise as you tour around the countryside. In the south of the state is Kangaroo Island. This is a place not to be missed. Adelaide is the capital and it lies on the eastern shore of St. Vincents gulf. It is also the main entry and exit point for the state and the jumping off point for organized tours travelling to all destinations throughout the state. The "Ghan" rail link to Darwin in the Northern Territory is really popular with train buffs from around the world and it is famous for the quality of its service. It also provides an ideal way to travel to central Australia to see places like Ayres Rock and Alice Springs. Adelaide airport has connections to all Australian domestic airports. The towns of Port Augusta, Whyalla and Port Lincoln are all unique and should be part of any holiday Port Lincoln is famous as the centre of the South Australian fishing industry.
